Awwww, look how cute!

Dear Pampers,

I think it is great that you teamed up with a designer to make your diapers more fashionable. They really are cute. Almost too cute to resist! What parent wouldn't want to waste... I mean spend... their hard earned money on them! Although, I asked my 2 month old if he would feel more loved if we bought theses fancy things for him and he seemed to not care. Surprising huh? Go figure! Making your diapers fashionable does not change the fact that they are going to hold urine and fecal matter. Yep, I said it! Pee and poop folks! Nor does it change the fact that they will be thrown away and will rot in a land fill. Does the pretty design help them not kill the planet? No. Well that's a shame. Perhaps you should have teamed up with an environmentalist instead of a designer. Sorry I am not going to buy into your marketing ploy. Better luck next time Pampers!

To Whoever Designs Baby Socks,

I think all Moms out there are wondering this so I am just gonna come right out and say it. Why do you think my newborn needs grips on the bottom of his socks? I am baffled, really. I don't expect that my newborn is going to jump up and run off, but I sure am glad he won't slip and fall if he does. I bet socks would be cheaper if you didn't add the grips. Moms love cheap so go ahead and skip the grips, okay?

Sincerely,

The Woman Who Does Not Have A Newborn That Walks

Dear Movie Theater,

You are robbing people, do you know that? I had a great date night with my Hubster last weekend but I think we may need to get a loan to cover the cost of the movie, popcorn and drinks. Thanks for the military discount though. If it cost $16.00 for tickets after the discount I would hate to see what it is without! Just imagine if we would have opted for 3D! Oh my! Then it was $17.50 for a medium popcorn and two medium drinks! So for our movie we spent $33.50... do you relaize we ate dinner for $22.00? And we both got entrees! How do you sleep at night? I can tell you right now that I won't go to another movie. I will be just as satisfied to wait until it comes out on Netflix. Then I can pause it to go pee anyway. There is nothing worse than getting to the climax of the movie and realizing your bladder is about to burst. Oh, I held it. Sure did. I paid way too much money to miss the best part of the movie! I hope people left trash all over the place... you sooooo deserve it!

Signed,

The Broke Woman Who Now Has A Bladder Infection

I agree. Movie theaters are robbing us all blind. It is just insane. I am so thankful that we have a dollar show by us. We just wait and go see all the movies then. Our whole family can enjoy popcorn/pop and a movie for 15.75. I love that.
I always wondered about the grippies on the bottom of the newborn socks too. Silly.

I won't hardly go to a movie theater because of the price. And if I do got to see a movie I for sure won't buy drinks and snacks!

Maybe Pampers got your message and struck back ... my WV word is fecoe ... LOL

I only go to matinees because of the cost and we sneak candy, drinks, and popcorn into the theater in my huge purse. Horrible lesson to teach my kids, but oh well.

The designer diapers are cute but do they cost more? I'm guessing you get less in a pack for the same cost of plain ones.

Those tiny socks are so cute. My boys were born w/huge feet and could never wear newborn socks. Hahhahaha

Thanks for linking up!

I think the designer diapers are dumb. Pay more for a diaper that is going to stay on for a short time?

Netflix is way better than a movie theatre.

Yes there are a lot of movies we want to see but very few that are movie theatre worthy.
And you are so right about the socks, too funny.

And have you seen the commercial for those diapers? Horrible

My husband and I go to the Drive in, and have been really pleased with the movie quality. It cost us $14 for admition for Tim and I to both watch two movies back to back. Plus they have pretty good food. If you want to bring your own, it is an extra $8 per car. since they make the bulk of their money off of consessions anyway. If tou buy a soda ( for $3 :( ) save the hard plastic cup, and when you return another time with that cup, then the soda is only a dollar. You should try it!

Oh, and It cost us $23 to see a movie with our girls. And I am pretty sure they did not charge us a child fee... and it was NOT 3D.. Yes! Shame on you Dickenson!

We hardly ever go to the movies, the cost is just too much. Not to mention the fact that for years I have had a kid who is just too little to go along to the movies or to be left with a sitter. I did take my 3 older kids to see Toy Story 3 a couple weeks ago and even WITH sneaking in our own candy for the matinee, it was ridiculously expensive. We do, however, get free cable (my husband works for our local cable provider) so we watch LOTS of movies at home!

Oh, I just saw those 'designer' Pampers at Target the other day. I was kind of tempted to buy them, but the price was OUTRAGEOUS. They were TWICE as much as the package of (more!) Target brand diapers, which, honestly are JUST as cute with the polka-dots.

And funny about the sock grips! My two year old had TINY feet, and was still wearing newborn socks at a year old. So those grippers actually came in handy for us!
